Call For Speakers

STLX 2019 is an opportunity for Experience Design professionals across many industries to invest in themselves by taking advantage of a variety of sessions, networking opportunities, and speaking opportunities.

This year’s conference will focus on "?????"  which is how design can improve the life of those who you build for.  Push the envelope with your design and inspire your audiences.

Here are some examples:

  • ????Are you an instructional designer, how can you create training materials that impact and improve the lives of your learners?

  • Are you a graphic designer, how can you create materials that inspire and promote the improvement of the lives of your audience.
     

If you are an experience design professional, consider submitting a proposal about an innovative topic in on of the following areas: 

  • Product Design

  • Service Design

  • User Experience Design

  • User Research

  • Workshop Facilitation

  • Future-Forward Experience Design
    [Voice Interaction | Augmented Reality | Virtual Reality | Internet of Things]

  • January 28, 2019 – Call for Speakers Opens to Public

  • April 05, 2019 – Deadline to Submit Presentation Topic and Description

  • April 30, 2019 – Submit Presentation Outline

  • May 06, 2019 – Registration Opens to the Public

  • May 24, 2019 – Submit Presentation PowerPoint of Visual Aids for Review

  • July 05, 2019 – Keynote Speaker Announcement

  • October 12, 2019 – STLX 2019

 

Presentation Guidelines
Presentation should: 

  • Be 30 – 45 minutes in length

  • Adhere to one of the suggested topics unless otherwise approved

  • Come from real-life experience

  • Include best practices for developing the skill presented  

  • Conclude with a challenge.  This challenge should be a technique your audience can practice or a homework activity to further learning.

  • You may include a bit of solicitation about your business or professional service, if applicable, but it should be limited to less than 5% of your presentation. 

Your initial presentation proposal should include:

  • A proposed title for your presentation

  • A high-level description of your presentation

  • A photo of yourself (doesn’t have to be a professional headshot) which can be added to the online program 

  • A short bio about yourself and your experience with the topic

  • Your contact information, including social media handles
