Lee Essner will present “The Client Is Not Stupid”.
It’s a trap! And it’s one nearly all of us fall into from time to time. When the client elects to not pursue the custom calendar component, nixes the clever scroll detection concept or is unimpressed by the spike on the SVG animations, we conclude the client is naive, short-sighted, or in a word—stupid. Except they’re not.
This presentation will explain why this conclusion is not only contradictory to universal values and harms team morale, it is an unnecessary impediment to accomplishing the goal of producing a great product. The talk includes tips to help recognize potential issues before they manifest, retain a perspective of empowerment, and coax what you need out of a client to produce consistent results.
This event is free. Refreshments will be served.
